Founded in 1919, the American Legion has always been about more than membership—it’s about purpose, belonging, and continuing to serve. At Milwaukie Post 180, we carry that mission forward with a local focus. Whether you served in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, or somewhere in between, you’ll find people here who speak your language and understand what it means to have worn the uniform.

More Than a Meeting Hall—We’re a Community Hub

At Post 180, we don’t just sit around talking about the past (though you’ll hear some great stories). We’re involved. Our members support local veterans in crisis, provide Honor Guard services at funerals, host events for youth and families, and raise money for organizations like K9 Kavalry and Honor Flight of Oregon. If you’ve been looking for a way to give back, or just need to reconnect with something real, this is it.
