American Legion Auxiliary – Unit 180

Founded in 1919, the American Legion Auxiliary is one of the nation’s most influential women’s patriotic service organizations, supporting The American Legion and advocating for veterans, active-duty military, and their families. With nearly 1 million members, the Auxiliary administers hundreds of volunteer programs, contributes thousands of hours to community service, and raises millions for veterans’ support each year—all as volunteers.
While originally formed to support The American Legion, the Auxiliary has become a force of its own, working side-by-side with the Legion while expanding its mission to serve the broader community. Unit 180 reflects this legacy through its continuous efforts to give back.
Who Can Join?
The American Legion Auxiliary welcomes female and male spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct or adopted descendants of American Legion members. If your qualifying relative is deceased, you may still be eligible, even if they were not a Legionnaire.
